Stay tuned! Coming soon Spring 2019. Bikers of all skill levels will love this interpretive, easy, paved ride! Tour is 2.5 hours. Cost is $89 per person and includes a bike, helmet and entrance to the park.
McKinney Falls is one of Texas’s smallest yet most beautiful and diverse State Parks and Austin is lucky enough to have it located right outside its city limits. Due to its unique geologic features and ecology, the park has many habitats and hosts a great diversity of wildlife. It is especially known for its avian populations and is known as a birding hot spot. Approximately 250 species have been reported by birders within the park over the years! In addition to birds, the park is home to an array of small and large mammals, amphibians and reptiles.
While the park is beautiful year round, it explodes with color and sound during wildflower season, from late February through the early summer. This is an especially lovely time to view the park in all of its natural glory. Be sure to bring your camera, we will be happy to stop for the many photo ops you will encounter.
This is a fun and easy 4 mile interpretive tour led by a trained Texas naturalist. The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours and spans the parks many ecosystems. During the tour we will explore the parks natural and man made history. If the weather permits we can stop for a quick dip in the swimming hole so bring your suits!
The park is within the city limits so is easily accessed via public and private transportation. However transportation can be provided if needed, please contact us directly for pricing and availability.
Bird checklists will be provided. Binoculars are recommended and can be provided for an additional $15 fee.
